Obituary

Alice e. Pauley of charleston passed away tuesday, feb. 11, 2014, at hubbard hospice house, charleston.
Alice was a former owner of the squire tobacco unlimited, charleston, and had previously worked at the west virginia chamber of commerce.
A lifelong resident of charleston, alice was a graduate of stonewall jackson high school, attended west virginia state university and was a member of the wesley methodist church on bigley avenue.
Alice enjoyed sports, both watching and playing, especially golf, tennis and volleyball.
She was preceded in death by her mother, genevieve burdette.
She is survived by her husband, douglas pauley; father, ernest burdette of charleston; sisters, nancy cox of charleston and brenda bates of winfield; brother, wayne burdette of charleston; one niece; four nephews; and her black lab, pauli.
Funeral service will be noon friday, feb. 14, at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston, with the rev. Julie halstead officiating. Burial will follow at graceland memorial park, south charleston.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.M. Thursday, feb. 13, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in alice’s memory to kanawha hospice care, 1606 kanawha blvd. W., charleston, wv 25387-2536.
