Obituary
Anita Lucille Tyler Thorpe went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2026.
Her greatest joy was her son and grandchildren.
She was born on August 1, 1953, in Charleston, WV, to the late Cleothus Clyde Tyler and Gloria Mae (Valentine) Tyler. She graduated from Charleston High School. Anita had many friends and those fortunate to know her gentle spirit will forever cherish the memories made with her. Anita attended Abundant Life Ministries.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Larond.
Anita’s memory will live on through her son, Paul; her sisters, Donna German of Alexandria, VA, and Wyjean Sharp of Cross Lanes, WV, and brother, Timothy of Atlanta, GA. She was loved by her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on September 25, 2026, at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, 1118 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV.
