Obituary
Arnold Wayne Lewis, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
A native of Charleston, WV, he lived in Sissonville. He loved playing basketball and catching a softball, and was the biggest fan of the West Side. He loved Motown and taking walks on the beach – or laying in the sun, in general. He could get any baby to fall asleep on his chest and was a sucker for dogs. He loved a good French silk pie and was well known for his laugh and sense of humor. He was well known at the YMCA and on the racquetball court – he had so many good friends.
Arnold is survived by his sister, Janet (Port St Lucie, FL), and brother, Larry (Winter Park, FL); his wife, Leah (Sissonville); his oldest daughter, Annie Shipman with husband Scott and three kids Elizabeth, Rachel and Caleb (Franklin, TN); middle daughter, Allison Lewis (Charleston); and youngest daughter, Andrea Nelson with husband Jay and two daughters Charlotte and Violet (Charleston).
A memorial is tentatively planned for the summer.
Condolences may be sent and shared with the family at www.barlowbonsall.com .
Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston, has been entrusted with the arrangements.

To all of Arnold’s gals, I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. When we lose a fellow West Sider we all grieve for the family. Treasure the fact that he loved each and every one of you. Again my heart goes out to all of you.
