Barbara gandee given mckinney, 73, passed away on may 26, 2016 at her home in dunbar, wv.
Barbara was born june 7th, 1942 in charleston, wv. She was preceded in death by her parents, okey b. And maysel justice gandee, her brother, gene gandee and sisters, lucille spencer, elizabeth carte, nancy thomas, mary ann odom, pauline davis belcher, wanda summers, and her husband, john mckinney of st. Albans, as well as, her late ex-husband roy ray given, the father of her 3 children (who will always have the last word). She is survived by her 3 children; daughter, debbie parsons, sons, arthur ray given, and mark anthony given, and only living sibling, sister, violet donahoe. Barbara had 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children. Barbara had two special friends, bobbie & susan, who gave her lots of companionship. Barbara was a member of the mount tabor church of god, st. Albans, wv. She was retired from thomas hospital and vineyards home health care.
No services announced at this time. Barbara’s wishes were to be cremated and have a small gathering of family and friends which will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the charleston wv humane society
