Obituary

Betty h. Leclere , 94 of charleston passed away thursday, february 19, 2015 at hubbard hospice house-west, south charleston, wv.

Betty was born in charleston to the late karl l. And nellie snoke henderson.
She was a member of village chapel presbyterian church, kanawha city, wv.

She was a graduate of charleston high school and morris harvey college. Betty taught 30 years of elementary education in the kanawha county school district. Her last teaching job was with chamberlain elementary. Betty loved to hook rugs, and was an avid reader.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, charles leclere.

She is survived by two children, sally (jim) clark, of charleston, wv, and david (pat) leclere of oak hill, virginia; one brother, david henderson, of south charleston, wv; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of betty’s life will be held at 2:00 p.M., sunday, february 22, 2015 at village chapel presbyterian church with rev. Todd wright officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: kanawha hospice care, 1606 kanawha blvd,, west, charleston, wv 25387.
