Obituary

Betty caldwell (nee anderson), 84, of charleston, passed away monday, march 3.
Betty was an active member of kanawha city baptist church as a sunday school teacher for 12 years and served several terms on the trustee board. She was active in the american baptist women’s ministries, serving as treasurer and secretary. She was also a charter member of the does of elks lodge no. 202 and served as secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, thurman eugene “gene” caldwell, and her parents, harold and phyllis anderson.
Betty is survived by her daughters, connie caldwell of washington, d.C., and betsy rhodes (steve doll) of hurricane, and beloved grandson, alex caldwell rhodes, a student of marshall university. She is also survived by her sister, sylvia eversole of roanoke, va., and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.M. Saturday, march 8, at kanawha city baptist church with pastor don toler officiating. Inurnment will follow at tyler mountain memory gardens, cross lanes.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
