Obituary
Betty Lee (Deitrick) Brennan, 98, a lifelong resident of Charleston, WV, died on March 1, 2026.
She was born March 10, 1927, in Charleston to Ashton Sr. and Eva (Hoke) Deitrick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Brennan; her brother, Ashton Deitrick Jr., and grandchildren, Thomas Brennan II and Leigh Wiblin.
Betty Lee is survived her children, Raymond (Joan) Brennan of Florida, Angela (Terry) Bennett of Texas, and Beverly (Bill) Javins of Charleston; 9 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Brookdale Charleston Gardens Assisted Living for their loving care.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Basilica of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Charleston. Burial will immediately follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.
Visitation will begin one hour prior at the church.

Beverly, I remember Betty fondly as a neighbor and also as a fellow member of East Hills Garden Club, back in the day. I also remember coming to her birthday party…was it her 90th? What a life for you to celebrate. I’m sure it is with mixed emotions that you let your mom go. My thoughts are with you during this time. Fondly, Kathy
