Obituary

Bonnie jean portz, 63, of charleston, went to join her heavenly father on june 27, 2014.

She was the daughter of the late clyde ray portz and mary anna portz and was also preceded in death by her brother, bobby ray portz, and sister, bernice jessup.

Bonnie is survived by her lifetime companion, frank alexander; daughter, leona (craig) thomas; son, dorton holland of salamanca, n.Y.; daughter, helen anne sorto of manassas, va.; sister, betty (jack) underwood of charleston; brothe, otto (jennifer) portz of dunbar; sister, pixie bays of st. Albans; sister, joanna showen of valrico, fla.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held tuesday, july 1, at north charleston baptist church, located at 1009 woodward drive, charleston. The service will begin at 6 p.M. With pastor timothy marr officiating. A private graveside service at floral hills cemetery in sissonville will be held at a later date.

Barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
