Obituary
Brenda joyce hudson, 68, of charleston, passed away on thursday, december 14, 2017 at camc memorial hospital, charleston.
Brenda was an insurance claims examiner for several companies until she became disabled after suffering a heart attack.
Recently, she attended church services at genesis healthcare, teays valley center.
Brenda graduated from dupont high school and attended west virginia state college.
She was always a very social person and would help others in any way she could. She loved to cook and was also an avid animal lover, taking in many pets throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, james l. Hudson, sr.; mother, ethel nichols; sisters, phyllis nichols and mary scarrfol.
She is survived by her sons, edward e. (lisa legg) harmon of charleston and james robert (erica dawn) harmon, jr. Of california; sisters, helen carroll of kanawha city, pearl (keith) hayes of rand, donna russell of groveport, oh and rebecca vassau of virginia; and 1 granddaughter, ke’ala harmon.
A private family service will be held at a later date

Barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston has been entrusted with the arrangements.
