Obituary

Carl Lee Blackburn Jr., 76, of Charleston, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 7, 2025.

He was the son of Carl Lee Blackburn Sr. and Evelyn (Allen) Blackburn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Blackburn and Dennis Blackburn, and his sister, Linda Blackburn.

Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabth (Feazell) Blackburn; two sons, Wayne Taylor and wife Melissa, and Carl Lee Blackburn, III, and brothers, Gary Blackburn and wife Rita, and Mark Blackburn and Lynn, all of Oak Hill.

Carl was the General Manager and Sales Manager at Blackburn Ford Sales, Inc., in Oak Hill. A huge WVU fan, Carl enjoyed watching both football and basketball games. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and hunting in Fayette and Lewis counties. The Union Mission Ministries held a special place in Carl’s heart. He spent countless hours volunteering his time to help others.

A memorial service will be planned in the future.
