Obituary

Carolyn barrett, 82, of charleston, passed away on saturday, july 14, 2018 at the eastbrook nursing center.

Carolyn was retired from straits cleaners and laundry.

She was loving and giving; always helping others in need.

Carolyn touched the hearts of others and will be missed deeply.

She is survived by her sons, fred barrett and john barrett; daughter-in-laws, charlotte barrett and darlene barrett; granddaughters, charlene cooper and amanda looney; grandson, tim barrett; and 8 great-grandchildren.

One of carolyn’s favorite bible passages comes from the book of john, chapter 14, verses 1-3; “do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in god; believe also in me. My father’s house has many rooms, if it were not so, would i have told you that i am going there to prepare a place for you? And if i go and prepare a place for you, i will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where i am.”

funeral service will be 1 p.M. Wednesday, july 18, 2018 at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston with pastor bart hodel officiating. Burial will follow at grandview memorial park, dunbar. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior the service at the funeral home.
