Obituary

Charles Lee Norton, 72, of Charleston, WV, went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2025.

He was born to parents Denver and Pauline (Bradshaw) Norton. Charles was a mechanic while in the Baltimore, MD, area. After relocating to Charleston, he worked as a truck driver. He took great pride when becoming a pastor at the Church of Jesus Christ at age 40.

Charles was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. He and Sandy, his wife of 48 years, spent their time going to auctions, yard sales, and spending time with their six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Charles was a godly man that loved his family and church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sandra F. Norton; son, Charles (Andrea) Norton of Poca, WV; daughter, Ceaira (Brad) Sigmon of Belle, WV; grandchildren, Selena Norton, Kaiden Norton, Hailey Sigmon, Bradlee Sigmon, Cole Norton and Charlee Norton; great-granddaughter, Aurora Sigman; sister, Mary Martinez of Goshen, IN, and brother, Roger Norton of Millersburg, IN.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses, along with beloved family members and friends for their support during the past months.

A private celebration of life will be held for close family members.
