Obituary

Charles Michael Willis, 61, of Hurricane, WV, was brought to this life on April 19, 1962. We were blessed to have known him until his untimely demise August 1, 2023. He passed peacefully with his wife and daughters by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. and Linda L. Willis. He was a loyal and dedicated husband and father to wife, Leah Willis, and daughters, Brandy Willis and Christina McCormick, and step-son, Derek LaFlamme, and step-daughter, Casandra LaFlamme. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Michael (Tyler), Daniel, Conor, Torin, and Emma. There are many more family and friends that will miss him.

He was a Ford enthusiast and loved to work on his various old trucks. When he wasn’t tinkering in the yard, he enjoyed socializing with his friends at the Choo Choo Inn, St. Albans, WV

Special thank you to his best friend, Don Thomas and family, and his many friends at the Choo that have shown their respect, love, and support.

Charley was an Industrial Insulator, working in the chemical plants around the Kanawha Valley and Kentucky. He was a respected mentor to new apprentices coming into the field and had many friends within the industry.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Young’s Freewill Baptist Church, 3586 Sam’s Fork Road, Hurricane, WV. Following the services, his ashes will be placed with his Grandpa Parsons, mother, and father at the Family Cemetery on Sam’s Ford Road. All family and friends are welcome.
