Obituary
Christopher Stephen Johnson, 47, peacefully passed away September 22, 2025, at his home in Charleston, WV.
A graduate of Dupont High School, Chris proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine. While in the Marine Corps, he honed his skills as a diesel mechanic before his honorable discharge after 13 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven Johnson and Hazel (Wilkinson) Johnson.
Chris is survived by his three children, Cobran Christopher Johnson of Charleston, and Ellie Alisbeth and Layla Marie, both at home.
A memorial service will take place in the next couple of weeks.

I just found out about Chris’s passing. We met back in 1998. He spent a lot of time within the weekends. I was in driving distance of going home. He was like the brother that I never had. He came to visit on a beach trip and my kids loved him. We always stayed in touch about twice a year. I love and miss you brother!!
