Obituary
Our beloved Connie V. Carey, 86, of Charleston, WV, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, after a long illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Monday, May 26, 2025, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kanawha City, with the Rev. Fr. Phillip Szabo officiating.
Visitation will begin one hour prior at the church.
Committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the Bishop’s Chapel at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Connie was my first supervisor at Bell Atlantic in 1999. I was 20 and she was 60 or so. We were a couple generations apart and her old school approach was a bit of a shock. If I wasnt busy, she would ask why. If I was too busy, she would help. If I was late, she would be waiting in my chair. If I had a personal issue, she would be the first to offer support. We didn’t miss our deadlines and we didn’t take shortcuts to get there. She was a great boss, and I’m a better person for having known her.
