Obituary

Courtney Dawn McClure Kinser, 30, of Nitro, WV, and her son, Cayson Stephen Kinser, passed away May 6, 2023, at CAMC Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by grandmothers Roberta Walker, Belinda McClure, and Debra Vannatter.

Courtney is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Kinser; Mom, Tonya McClure; stepdad, Daniel Vannatter; biological father, David Walker; sisters, Shelby Lavender, Lauren Vannatter, Allee Walker, and Abbi Walker; brother, Brady Vannatter; grandfather, William Vannatter; Aunt Allison Layne; Uncle Shawn Vannater; nephew, Ja’Khi Terry, and stepchildren, Nevaeh, Alena, and Bradley Kinser.

She was an employee of Central Hardware in St. Albans, WV. Courtney attended Nitro High School, before earning her GED. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family. She especially loved spending time with her nephew, Ja’Khi, and her stepchildren. She was an amazing mother to her stepchildren and enjoyed filling that role.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Word of Light Community Church, 2276 US Route 60, Culloden, WV, with Pastor Doug Doss officiating.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the church.
