Obituary

Darrell lee taylor, 83, died december 27, 2017, at hubbard hospice west after a long illness.

He was preceded in death by his wife, boots taylor burgess; son randall lee taylor; and brother okey ray taylor.

He was a retiree of columbia gas transmission, and from his farm. Darrell is survived by his daughters angie carte of kenna and drema (joe) gibson of sissonville. He is also survived by his granddaughters, ashli carte of singapore and amber taylor of cross lanes, and a sister, margaret (doyle) shamblin of belleview, florida.

The family sincerely thanks sweetbriar assisted living for their care and kindness the past several years, and hubbard hospice west during his final hours.

To honor darrell’s long time wish, his body has been donated to the wvu human gift registry in hopes that it will assist in the study of dementia/alzheimer’s. There will be no service.
