David worked in my department at One Valley Square for several years. He was a friend and a good colleague. Condolences to his family.

My life changed when I met Kevin and then of course David. We were always together. My wedding, concerts, Caps games and of course the games we watched with the entire Edgington family. Outside of Kevin and Grandma Dave was the first person to hold each of my children. Yearly 4th of July pool parties were a constant tradition and where he met the love of his life Janet and his automatic family. He fell in love with all of them immediately. Dave was a compassionate man he was always smiling I can’t remember a time that he wasn’t. We could go months or years without talking but it wouldn’t matter. the Capitals were playing for the Stanley cup game 7. The clock was counting down and I’m jumping on the bed. I’m yelling call Dave call Dave before Kevin could dial the phone it rings the clock had hit zero and the Capitals were Stanley Cup Champions. You could hear Dave laughing Kevin’s laughing and I’m crying. Time and distance can’t change a true friendship. My heart breaks for Janet Jen Ezra and Anne the grandchildren and great grandkids and of course the entire Edgington family. The tears aren’t stopping, however, I know that Kevin was saving a seat in front of the TV with Dave’s family to watch the game today.

  3. To Janet, all the children, and Dave’s friends and co-workers. Our deepest sympathy to you and yours. Dave was a great, kind, gentle guy, who always talked about home and family. He loved working outside around the property, and his garden. Other than his love of family, up there, and down here in Maryland, Dave loved his animals and dogs. He would always talk about them and his life in Charleston. Although we were separated by distance, we always maintained a close family communication by regularly talking and texting one another. Dave would often send the family pictures of his life up there, including his dogs, and pictures when it would snow. He was a great brother and he will truly be missed. Taken much too young, but now at peace and in Heaven. God Bless you Dave, and Janet, and all of the children. We will dearly miss you, and Love you. Your brother, Scott
