Obituary

David f. Sayer, jr. Of charleston, formerly of logan wv, passed away on thursday, may 31st, 2018, of natural causes. He was 80 years old, the son of david f. Sayer and zakia sayer. He graduated from the greenbrier military school and ohio state university. He was co-owner of sayer brothers department stores throughout wv.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister marlene nicholas and brother, alex f. Sayer ii. David is survived by his brother farris d. Sayer, sisters lorraine ghareeb (fauzy) and christine husson (bruce), as well as his nephews and nieces, nicky nicholas, jacqueline mason (jason), david husson (mindy), jonathan husson, christin husson, alex ghareeb (amilia), and all his many great-nephews and great-nieces whom he dearly loved.

He will be remembered as a wonderful brother, a devoted son, and a loving uncle. The family wishes to give special thanks to all of his loving caretakers who provided him great comfort.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, wednesday, june 6, 2018 at village chapel presbyterian church, 3818 venable avenue, charleston, wv 25304. Burial will follow at sunset memorial park, south charleston.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
