I recall Dave as an intrepid adventurer, once he found reason to leave his cave. He wrote a poem about doing just that in the persona of “Lone Eagle,” rejoicing in the beauty and bounty of the earth; filled with such gratitude to “the Great,” when we challenged each other to think outside the box in rhyme, over 10 years ago. I learned so much from him. I miss him still. Peace be to each of you. He was remarkable!
