Obituary
With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Dolores “Boots” Tiberio, who
departed this life on April 28, 2026, at the age of 91.
Boots was a woman of grace, strength, and unwavering love—a true blessing to all who knew her.
Her life’s work was devoted to caring for her family and sharing her selfless love with them. She
shared a rare and enduring marriage with her beloved husband, Felix, one built on deep devotion,
partnership, and a lifetime of love. Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, and in
the hearts of her family, she will always be remembered as the very best. Her love was constant,
her presence comforting, and her legacy one of kindness, resilience, and quiet strength.
To know her was to feel cared for. She had a gift for making others feel at home, offering warmth,
wisdom, and a steady presence through all of life’s moments. She lived her life with intention and
heart, and the love she gave will continue to echo through generations.
She is survived by her loving children, Kelly Elder of Evans, GA, and David Tiberio and his wife,
Becky, of Beckley, WV; four grandchildren, Jordan Martin, Megan Harris, Katherine Elder, and
Brandon Wooldridge; and three great-grandchildren, Madeleine and Graham Harris, and Everleigh
Wooldridge. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her son’s
mother-in-law and dear friend, Phyllis Wooldridge.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Felix “Flip” Tiberio; her parents,
Joseph and Grace Lawson; her brother, David Lawson; her sister, Janet Christopher; her
brothers-in-law, Michael “Geno” Tiberio, Vespucci Polce, Louis Dupont, and Paul Christopher; and
her sisters-in-law, Rose Polce, Helen Dupont, and Olive Mae Tiberio.
Her passing followed a sudden illness, and while her loss is immeasurable, her family finds peace
in knowing they were blessed with her presence and that she knew how deeply she was loved.
There are no regrets—only gratitude for a life so beautifully lived and a bond so deeply cherished.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at St. Zita Catholic Church in
Masontown, WV, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Graveside committal will take place at the Masontown Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.barlowbonsall.com.
Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

I was very fortunate to have Boots in my life, and will be forever grateful for the kindness and generosity she and Flip showed me in my early life. I always considered them family as did my own blood family. Boots was truly a treasure I’ll never forget.

Kelly and David,
Your mom was a special lady, deeply rooted in my childhood history. I will unfortunately not be able to attend her memorial/funeral. We will be out of town for a college graduation. But I will be there in spirit, along with my parents. Boots was the last surviving of a close-knit family/friends group. She deserves to join them again.

Kelly and David,
Your mom was a true blessing to everyone around her. She always spoke highly of her children and the love she and your dad shared together.
Heaven has gained a special angel who will be watching over each of you.
May your mom rest in peace.
I always thought of your mom as my loving aunt Boots.
Love and prayers.
