Obituary
Donald Ray Farmer, Jr., 60, of Charleston, WV, went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2026, at CAMC Memorial after a long battle with cancer.
He was born July 25, 1965, in Logan, WV, to the late Donald and Carol Farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leward & Opal Farmer, and Columbus & Celia Ann Johnson; sisters, Diana Dillon and Delores Jude; brother, John Farmer; cherished companion, Hope Wooten, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Grayce and Kenzlee Farmer, Laura (Roger) Hatfield, Jennifer Davis, Rebecca Borders, and Abbie Bostic; grandchildren, Hunter Clark, Landon Hatfield, Alexus Borders, Jamier Davis, Skylar (Kenneth) Justice, Sonnie and Kelso Vance; great-grandchildren, Braxton Borders and Grace Fisher; sisters, Tammy (Mark) Long and Susan Pridemore (Ti) Pridemore; brothers, Andrew (Kathy) Farmer and Brandon (Kaitlyn) Farmer; ex-wife, Diana Farmer; companion, Amanda Hughart; friends, Jackie McGraw and Shiloh Smith; Uncle Roger Farmer; many cousins and friends, and his fur babies, Kallie and Meow-Meow.
Upon Donald’s wishes, he will be cremated. Services will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, 1118 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV, with Pastor Andy Gillenwater officiating.

Don truly had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, and no matter what my kids or I needed, he was always there without hesitation.
Like all of us, he wasn’t perfect, but what mattered most was the way he loved and cared for the people in his life. Me and my kids and grandkids were incredibly fortunate to be among those he cared about. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others made a lasting difference, and he will be deeply missed.
