Obituary

Dorothy “dottie” meadows, 81, of dunbar, left this world peacefully on friday, may 2, 2014.
She was in born in woodworth, ill., to the late rudolph and ester jeschke. She was also preceded in death by her sister, trudy lynch. Also preceding her in death was her husband, clyde meadows, who she was married to for 24 years.Together they raised a loving family.
Dottie retired from thomas memorial hospital after 14 years of service, where she was very passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. She was named the “employee of the month” with thomas memorial hospital.She was a member of aa and proudly stayed sober for more than 20 years. She loved to spend time with her family, read and do crossword puzzles.
She leaves behind her legacy with her children, pam howell of arizona, gary brooks of south carolina, jeff brooks of virginia, leslie marler of north carolina, robert “bobby” brooks of iowa and melissa summers of south charleston; sister, carol colberg of illinois; brother, karl jeschke of missouri; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She desired to donate her body to wvu human gift registry, morgantown.
