Obituary

Dreama Darlene (VanMeter) Kates, age 66, born to Charles and Myrtle VanMeter in Morgantown, WV, passed away on March 25, 2025.

Dreama was preceded in death by her father, Charles VanMeter; mother, Myrtle VanMeter; husband, Joseph Lewis Kates, and brother-in-law, Richard James.

She leaves behind (step)daughter, Gypsy Robinson; grandchildren, Kahlil Robinson, Kaela Robinson, Khalis Robinson and Khaleeq Robinson; (step)son, Joseph Rivers; sisters-in-law, Jackie Hill, Emery Banks and Brenda Kates; and friend/family by love, Misty Ingram, Jade Hughes, Max Ingram, Jase Ingram and Dominic Ingram.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be deeply missed.

Candlelight vigil will be held at a later date.
