Obituary
Elizabeth ann brown, 93, of charleston died february 13, 2015 after a long illness.
She was the daughter of the late lemuel and minnie leftwich heslop and the widow of frederick q. Brown. Her brothers, william and robert, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, susan devan, douglas brown and katherine lashley (tom), all of charleston, two grandchildren, buck devan of baltimore, md and william devan of charleston.
She was a lifelong member of st. John’s episcopal church, where she was instrumental in the operation of the opportunity shop.
A formal memorial service will be held at a later date where she will be interred in the st. John’s columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to st. John’s episcopal church, 1105 quarrier street, charleston, wv 25301 or hospice care, 1606 kanawha boulevard, w., charleston, wv 25387.
Barlow bonsall funeral home has been entrusted to handle the arrangements.

I Did Not Know Mrs. Brown But I Know How Hard It Can Be To Lose A Loved One In Death So I Wanted To Say I Am Very Sorry For Your Loss. The Scripture That Has Given Me Comfort At Times Like This Is The One Found At Revelation 21:4 That Says, “And He Will Wipe Out Every Tear From Their Eyes, And Death Will Be No More, Neither Will Mourning Nor Outcry Nor Pain Be Anymore. The Former Things Have Passed Away.” So God Has Promised That In The Very Near Future We Will Never Have To Experience The Pain Associated With Death Anymore. I Pray That This Gives The Family Some Comfort During This Difficult Time.
