Obituary
Elmer theodore “ted” meadows, 77, of charleston, passed away sunday, october 30, 2016 at camc memorial hospital.
He was born on october 6, 1939 to the late william lawrence and mildred virginia adkins meadows.
Ted was a supervisor at c & p telephone company for many years.
He was a lifelong resident of charleston, graduated from stonewall jackson high school and attended college.
Ted was a veteran serving in the u.S. Army.
He was a member of the charleston moose.
Ted enjoyed playing golf and was a volunteer at the shawnee golf club, where he was part of the shawnee golf course family.
He also played on many courses throughout the united states.
Additionally, ted loved to dance, and enjoyed many outdoor activities with his brother jim, including skydiving and zip lining.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, william arnold meadows.
He is survived by his brothers, david meadows of franklin, harry (beverly) meadows of yukon, ok and jim meadows of charleston; nephews, jimmy, allen, ted and mike meadows; nieces, pamela harvit and misty brown; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.M. Thursday, november 3, 2016 at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston.
