I Did Not Know Mrs. Warden But I Know How Hard It Can Be To Lose A Loved One In Death So I Wanted To Say I Am Very Sorry For Your Loss. The Scripture That Has Given Me Comfort At Times Like This Is The One Found At Revelation 21:4 That Says, “And He Will Wipe Out Every Tear From Their Eyes, And Death Will Be No More, Neither Will Mourning Nor Outcry Nor Pain Be Anymore. The Former Things Have Passed Away.” So God Has Promised That In The Very Near Future We Will Never Have To Experience The Pain Associated With Death Anymore. I Pray That This Gives The Family Some Comfort During This Difficult Time.

Mrs. Emily Warden:
The Warden’S Were Next-Door Neighbors, Since Childhood, Living Next To Our Home On Longridge Road.
Married To Lacy Warden, Senior, They Together They Worked Hard, Raising 2 Wonderful Children, In A Christian Home With Strong Moral Values, Imparting These Values And A Strong Work Ethic To Their Children, Lacy And Libby.
Our Families Were Constantly Together, Often Sharing Wonderful Meals On Our Back Porches Or In Our Homes Together.
Mrs. Warden, Being A Teacher At George Washington High School, Selflessly Drove Us Both To John Adams Junior High School, And, I Remember Most Vividly, To George Washington High School, Virtually Every Morning For The 3 Years I Attended High School. I Was Chronically Late In The Morning, And I Remember Countless Mornings When Mrs. Warden Would Back Her Car Down Longridge Road To The Front Of Our House And Wait Dutifully And Patiently For Me To Appear From The Front Door, All The Time Being Berated By My Family For Being Late.
Were It Not From Her Teaching Of Typing To Me In The Typing Class Which She Masterfully Taught, I Would Be In Sad Shape Today In This World With Computers. She Was The Fastest Typist I Have Ever Known, And I Believe Her Typing Speed Was In Excess Of 120 Words Per Minute. It Was Truly Amazing For Me To Watch Her Type. Her Typing Speed Was A Testament To Her Intelligence, As I Came To Know Her As One Of The Most Intelligent People I Have Known While Growing Up.
Mrs. Warden Was Highly Opinionated, And Listening To Her Conversations With Her Family Members Was Always The Treat And Education In Itself.
The Warden Family Had A Strong Devotion To The Baptist Temple, And I Am Sure Mrs. Warden Was A Driving Force In Their Christian Life. Reading Her Obituary Is A Testament To Her Faith.
After My Father Passed Away In A Moving Vehicle Accident In 1970, And After We Children Moved Out Of The House To Obtain Our College Education And To Join The Work Force, Our House Became The Empty Nest For My Mother. Mrs. Warden Help To Fill Much Of The Void, Being The Great Neighbor She Was, And It Is My Understanding, She Visited My Mother Daily. It Was Mrs. Warden Who Discovered By Mother On The Floor Of Our Kitchen After Having A Stroke, And For Saving Her Life By Rapidly Getting Her To The Hospital.
In Summary, Mrs. Warden Was Wonderful Individual And Neighbor, Her Life Being An Example To Follow. She Was, Dedicated, Strong-Willed, Kind Hearted, And Hard-Working. My Memories Of Her Will Always Be Cherished.
