Obituary

On wednesday, december 19, 2018, eric jason thacker, cherishedhusband, father, son, brother, and uncle, passed away suddenly.

Eric was born january 19, 1986, in columbus, ohio. Eric was a 2004 graduate of clay high school and received his doctorate of pharmacy degree in 2011 from the university of charleston in w.Va. He was an exceptional pharmacist, employed at camc memorial division in charleston, w.Va, where he was well known for his deep concern and well-being of patients and colleagues. Eric was a christian, and full of compassion and love for others. He cherished his wife, daughters, and soon to be born son.

Eric will be forever remembered by his wife, jennifer; daughters, nora and evie; and unborn son, owen jason. Eric will also be lovingly remembered by his parents, howard (butch) and toni thacker; brother, michael (brittany) thacker; sister, natalie (brady) carter; mother-in-law, linda edwards; father-in-law, david edwards; sister-in-law, jaclyn edwards; brother-in-law, jonathan edwards; grandmother, linda homoelle; and nephews, blaine, branson, anderson, and jonah. Eric will be fondly remembered by many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandfather, tony homoelle; and grandparents, howard and merle thacker.

A celebration of eric’s life will be held at 3 p.M., on saturday, january 19, 2019, at lifepoint church in portsmouth, ohio. A time of remembrance will be held from 10 a.M. To noon on saturday, january 12, 2019, at the wvu building, 4th floor, in charleston, w.Va., located beside camc memorial hospital. Charleston area friends, family, and colleagues are welcomed to pass through at any time during the gathering to pay their respects and remember eric.
