Obituary

Esther Ann Clem, 86, of Charleston, WV, passed away from an extended illness at the Tender Heart Home in South Charleston, WV, on May 12, 2023.

She was born in Monongah, WV, on August 19, 1937, to her parents, Otis and Genevieve Marquis. She graduated from Fairmont State University in 1959 with a BA degree in Education and Home Economics. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Charleston, WV. She will be remembered for her compassion, courage and kindness, as well as her love of reading and cats.

Esther is survived by her husband, Harold G. Clem, Jr.; son, Harold G. “Buddy” Clem, III; sister, Sharon Browning, and several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

In keeping with Esther’s wishes, she was cremated and there will be no services at this time.
