Obituary

Evelyn May Ciccarello, of Charleston, WV, passed away May 14, 2026. She was born on May 19, 1929, to Joseph and Carmen Ciccarello.

Evelyn graduated from the University of Charleston. She retired from CSX Railroad and the WV Senate.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by brothers Nick and Tom, sisters Anna Gould, Pauline Hill and Lillian DiGiorgi and nieces Beverly Ciccerallo Flaherty, Loretta DiGiorgi and Becky Dillon. Evelyn is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Basilica of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1114 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV, with Rev. Father Prakash Kerketta officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will begin one hour prior at the church.

The family is very grateful for the love and support of her many friends and her special caregivers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to their favorite charity in memory of Evelyn.
