Obituary
Franklin “Bimbo” Hamlett, 73, passed away July 6, 2026, at his Nitro, WV, residence.
He was employed Bayer Crop Science in Nitro. His main passion in life was time spent at 21 Pool Room.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Elihue and Hilda Coffman Hamlett, and his sisters, Sandy Saunders and Cheryl Goff.
Franklin is survived by his niece, Brandi Goff of Nitro; nephew, Brandon Lawrence of Charleston; niece, Brianna Lawrence of Nitro; brother, Jerry Hamlett of Charleston; and sisters, Mary Moss of Sissonville and Rosy Hamlett of Missouri.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Bimbo was a very good friend to our family. . He had such a big heart. He is one of the last original Route 21 guys. Hope there is a big reunion in Heaven.
