In 1939, Frank was born in Hiawatha, WV, to parents George and Margaret Mash.

Frank is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Lytton Mash, and daughter, Carolyn Mash King and husband Tom.
He was a graduate of Athens High School, class of 1957, and West Virginia University, class of 1961, with a B.S. in Dairy Manufacturing. Following graduation, while working for Swift in Decatur, IL, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served in the 503rd Military Police Battalion at Fort Bragg, NC.

During these years, he served as Quality Control Supervisor and/or Plant Superintendent. He briefly served as Plant Superintendent at Chico Dairy in Morgantown, WV.
