Obituary

Gary W. Meadows, 71, of Charleston, WV, died on June 25, 2022, after a short illness. Gary worked at Milton Sales, Past & Present Thrift Store, FEMA, and was the owner of Gary’s Lawnmower Service.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann (Anderson) Meadows; mother, Alpha Vance Meadows; and father, John Meadows, Sr.

He is survived by his children, Diana Meadows of Bucyrus, OH; Gary (Patti) Meadows, Jr., of Tiffin, OH; and Michael Meadows of Shelby, OH.  His surviving brothers are John Meadows, Jr., of Looneyville, WV, Okey (Ranae) Meadows of Hurricane, WV, and Jeffrey Meadows of Charleston; and his surviving sisters are Joyce (David) Javins and Cynthia Meadows of Charleston, Lorrie Queen of Chelyan, WV, and Sandra (Greg) Prescott of Smithfield, VA.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the Meadows Cemetery in Meadowbrook, WV, just past the Meadowbrook Nursing Home on Greenbrier Street, Charleston.

The family is so appreciative of the nurses and doctors in CAMC Memorial’s CPICU for their professionalism, knowledge, and thoughtfulness.
