The family and friends of gayle sherman preiser are mourning her death due to complications resulting from an automobile accident in longboat key, fl. Gayle leaves an adoring husband of 57 years, alvin e.Preiser; along with son, larry (kate); grandsons, ken and leo; daughter, cathy preiser zeewy (gady); and granddaughters, jessica and melanie; her brother, dr. Neil sherman (muriel); as well as many other family and friends. Gayle was a woman of exceptional skills and talents. She loved life; her favorite quote being “life is not a dress rehearsal.” she treasured all the people in her life from her best buddies to her hair stylists. Gayle’s smile lit up a room and her laugh was contagious. Gayle was a kind and giving soul. She made time for everyone and gave of herself completely. she was a beautiful person inside and outside. During her career years, gayle and marsha albert owned the place for plants, the happy looker, pillow furniture store and the exercise company. Later, gayle was a buyer for schwabe may and corporate officer at preiser scientific. Gayle volunteered for years at hadassah and b’nai jacob synagogue. Gayle’s passions included duplicate bridge, gardening, cooking, entertaining and shopping. “missing gayle” will be a fact of life for everyone who had the honor of knowing, loving, and being loved by gayle. A service and celebration of gayle’s life will be held 2 p.M., monday, february 20, 2017 at barlow bonsall funeral home, 1118 virginia street e, charleston, wv  25301.
