Obituary

Glen Ray Spener, 73, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away quietly on April 23, 2024, at Charleston Memorial Hospital Hospice from an ongoing illness.

He was proud to be a U.S. Marine who received his military training at Parris Island, South Carolina.

Glen is survived by his sister, Penny Skaff, and her husband, Ron, as well as some very close friends who loved him.

Those who knew him liked him and he will be missed.

His body will rest at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, West Virginia, after a military service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, Glen requested that, upon his death, donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for those who choose to do so.
