Obituary

Granville Donnally “Randy” Sheets, Jr., 77, of South Charleston, WV, passed away June 3, 2025, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.

Born in South Charleston on March 20, 1948, Randy is the son of the late Granville Donnally Sheets and Dorothy (Watson) Sheets.

Randy is survived by his sister, Sarah Fitzhugh Sheets of Charleston, WV, currently residing in Seattle, WA; his nieces and nephew, Laura Anne Steck, Carrie Mandela Nyden, Katharine Allende Nyden, and Christopher Dubois Nyden; two great nieces and two great nephews.

Following his graduation from George Washington High School, Randy continued education at West Virginia University, earning a degree in Economics. While residing in New Jersey for nearly 40 years, he developed his career as a Typographer, which offered him the opportunity to work in New York City.

Randy’s family remembers his perpetual humor and wit, which were with him until his final days.

Per his wishes, Randy will be cremated. His family will hold a private service at a later date.
