Obituary
With sad hearts we announce the passing of heather dawn crist, age 44, of charleston wv. Heather passed away monday evening, july 2nd 2018, following a four year struggle with cancer. She had her ups and downs over the years, yet remained strong, hopeful, and determined. In the end it wasn’t the cancer that took her from us “ it was pneumonia. After more than a week in the icu, even the strongest antibiotics could not pull her though.
Heather was a wonderful wife and mother. She was smart and talented, full of love and compassion. She enjoyed arts and crafts and designed her own online etsy shop where she sold a number of unique creations from custom christmas ornaments to bumper stickers and much more. She loved essential oils, and anytime someone would mention aches, pains, anxiety or stress, heather would say, “i’ve got an oil for that.”
heather carried a boundless supply of hope, love, and positive energy everywhere she went, and with this she touched the hearts and minds of everyone that knew her. she will be forever remembered by her loving husband of 22 years, brian crist, her two daughters, lindsey shea crist and megan renee crist, her mother, teresa barker, her brother, joseph lanek, her cousin, amy burdette (who was more like a sister), her two brothers-in-law, randy crist and wesley crist (who loved her like a sister), and a great number of family and friends.
A celebration of heather’s life will be held at the coonskin park clubhouse in the oak room, tuesday, july 10th 2018, 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Food and drinks will be provided. Please join us, along with pastor sandy burdette, for this celebrated gathering of loved ones.
