Obituary
Kathy DeMarco passed away on January 2, 2024, after battling frontotemporal dementia for many years. She was a remarkable woman who spent her life dedicated to family and helping improve the lives of those in her community.
Kathy worked as an educator, a Magistrate Judge in Kanawha County, and a small business owner. In addition to her work, she volunteered with her church, her children’s schools, and coaching youth sports. Her kindness, resilience, and compassionate leadership inspired her family, her friends, and her colleagues.
Kathy is survived by her sons, Matt (and Josh) DeMarco and Joey (and Katie) DeMarco, and one granddaughter.
To remember Kathy’s life, visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, 1118 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV. Burial will immediately follow at St. Matthews Episcopal Church Cemetery, South Hills, Charleston, WV.
