Obituary
Helen m. Conley, 97 of charleston, passed away wednesday, december 7, 2016 at the hubbard hospice house.
Helen was born on september 11, 1919 to the late cletus j. And rose farnbaugh may in ohio and came to charleston in 1946.
She had previously been part owner of gresham plumbing heating and supply.
Helen was a member of the basilica of the co-cathedral of the sacred heart, charleston where she was active in the guilds.
Additionally, she had been a volunteer for the st. Francis auxiliary and meals on wheels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, charles edwin conley; son, martin joseph conley; daughter, kathleen rose conley; brother, john may; sisters, kathryn steidl, norma wanchick and anna tolla.
She is survived by her daughter, martha conley rigg and her husband michael of virginia beach, va; sister, jean brown of uniontown, oh; brother, james may of mogadore, oh; in-laws, janet smith of elyria, oh, barbara j. Conley of spencer, jason and joann conley of charleston, mildred turner of oklahoma and thelma hughes of spencer; grandchildren, stephen and his wife, rachel rigg, anna rigg and margaret rigg.
Funeral service will be held 12 noon monday, december 12, 2016 at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston with monsignor p. Edward sadie officiating. A lunch reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be at mount olivet catholic cemetery, charleston.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made in memory of helen to the: basilica of the co-cathedral of the sacred heart, 1114 virginia st e, charleston, wv 25301 and/or meals on wheels, 110 association drive, charleston, wv 25311.
