Obituary

Ida Lopez, of Montgomery, WV, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024.

She was born in Powellton, WV, to parents Generine and Mary Lopez on August 10, 1931.

After retiring from Verizon, Ida spent most of her adult life decorating and being a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carmelina Baker, and brother-in-law, James Baker.

Ida is survived by her sister, J.L. Morris of Charleston, WV; brother, John H. Lopez and wife Janie of Smithers, WV; niece, Jane Ann Withrow of Charleston, WV; nephews, John V. Lopez and wife Sue of Cross Lanes, WV, Chris Lopez and wife Tress of Milton, WV, and Dr. Steve Baker and wife Donna of Raleigh, NC, and great nieces, Josie Lopez and Sophia Lopez of Milton, WV.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 1, 2024, with Prayer Service at 12:30 p.m., at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, 1118 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV. Burial will immediately follow at Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV, with Father Phillip Szabo officiating.
