I met the Melis’s when they took over The Regal where I had lived with my mom since I was born. I was beginning high school. Mrs. Melis would come to Apt 10 to use our phone, since these pesky cell phones did not exist. My mom Ruth Boyles would sweep the halls and make sure the outside doors stayed locked and the tenants who got locked out got back in. Over those 3 years I think we became friends. When I graduated they attended my graduation. She provided me with a brand new hardbound dictionary and thesaurus. When my mom passed the next year she was there. These 2 people, especially Mrs Melis had a profound meaning to me and who I became. Im so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a very good and heartfelt person.

Eneiro and family:
I am very sorry to hear of Irene’s passing. She was always sweet and kind with me since I met you both at the Hanging Chads gatherings. You both treated each other with much love without saying. I remember one of the times that you attended Las Trancas, as you were leaving, the manager told me that he cold tell how much you love each other and that he had never seen a couple that much in love. I pray for strenght and comfort for your loss. May Irene rest in peace.
