Obituary
James A. Mosby Jr. of Charleston, WV, passed away at home on June 20, 2023. He was 78 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maryida Waldron Mosby and James A. Mosby Sr.
Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elissa Vecellio Mosby, their three children: Adrian Mosby of Charleston, WV, Alison Mosby of Charleston, WV, Samantha Belcher and her husband Larry of Anchorage, Ky, and grandchildren Francesca Belcher and Hugo Belcher.
Jim was employed for 46 years by the West Virginia Development Office. He was a business and industrial developer. His life’s work was endeavoring to create a better economic climate and future for his fellow West Virginians. Many West Virginia families benefited from his efforts.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, you may honor Jim’s legacy with memorial donations to the Mountaineer Food Bank, 484 Enterprise Drive, Gassaway, WV 26624, mountaineerfoodbank.org.

Jim was a great guy who served the State of West Virginia as s strong advocate.
I was lucky to know him for over fifty years and he was a true compassionate and well rounded person.
My thoughts are with his family. Treasure the memories.
