Obituary
James Paul Garnes, Jr., 63, of Charleston, WV, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, after a short illness.
He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1980 and was a member of their football team during his years there. He worked various truck driving jobs as a career.
Jim was predeceased by his father, James Paul Garnes; his mother, Allene Alexander Garnes, and his brother, William Ott Willis.
Jim is survived by his sisters, Victoria Burns (Greg) of Warrenton, VA, and Catherine Taylor (Rick) of Edens Fork, WV. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Jim was a fun-loving man who loved to tell stories from the past and have a good laugh.
There will be no service or visitation per his request.
