Obituary

Janice Lou Vance, 65, of Man, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. She was born to the late Irene Marcum Plumley and Romey Lee “Clyde” Plumley on October 14, 1958.

Janice loved sewing, cooking, and shopping, but nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Gregory Lynn Vance, and brother, Lacy Eugene Plumley.

She leaves behind her three children, Dustin (Megan) Vance of South Charleston, Jillian (Steve) Dickerson of Peterstown, and Krystal Trent of Peterstown, as well as her granddaughter, Lacie Amelia, who was her pride and joy. In addition to many friends and family members, her siblings George (Terri) Plumley, Esta Griffin, Connie (Scott) Adams, and her special sister-in-law Tammy (Robert) Bowen of Davin are left to cherish her memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Landville Freewill Baptist Church in Landville, West Virginia.
