Obituary

Jerry lane summers, 64, of s. Charleston left this earthly life suddenly at home on saturday, january 18, 2014.  born march 9, 1948, he was the son of the late clive d. Summers and freda e. Summers of elkview.
Anyone that ever met jerry knows what a colorful and giving personality he offered the world.  his love of nature was one of the many trademarks of his personality.
Those left to cherish his memory are his 2 loving sisters, vickie s. Hash (husband jim hash) of elkview and barbara crider of greensboro, n.C., 3 beautiful nieces amy crider of leesburg, va, melanie allen of elkview, wv and lindsey crider of greensboro, n.C. And a great nephew, brackston allen of elkview, all of whom adored him.
He is also survived by his wife, penny summers and step daughter becca whom he loved and was so proud of, in punta gorda, fl.  jerry will be deeply missed by all of his wv family and friends and long time friends court, rich, and matt in fl.
In honor of jerry’s wishes to be free, barlow bonsell will handle cremation arrangements and a celebration of jerry’s life will be announced at a later date.
