Obituary

John “Cowboy” Wilson, of Gauley Bridge, WV, passed away on March 13, 2023, after a long illness.

Cowboy was known as a “Jack of all trades” and will be deeply missed by his loved ones and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Roberta Brown, and nephew, Christopher Brown.

Cowboy is survived by his three sisters: Cassandra Cooper, Denise Brown (Ted Anderson) and Priscilla Dorsey (Craig Dorsey); two brothers: Manual Brown and Wayne Brown; three grandchildren, and a very special friend, Terry Damron. He also leaves behind a loving significant other, Diana Hamilton, and stepdaughter, Tabitha.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, 1118 Virginia Street, East, Charleston, WV.
