Obituary

John Dickson Law, 68, of Charleston, WV, passed away July 7, 2025, at Hubbard Hospice House on the Hill after a short illness.

Born in Oak Hill, WV, on December 27, 1956, he was the son of the late Audna P. Law and Alice Ina (Dickson) Law. John earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at West Virginia Tech. He was the Executive Director of the West Virginia State Medical Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Potter (Dan).

John is survived by his niece, Lisa Young-Wolf (Doug) of Colorado Springs; nephews, Kenneth Young Jr. (Mary) of Charlotte, NC, and Aaron Young of Kegley, WV; great nieces, Madison Young and Braylee Young, and great nephews, Kaegan Young, Mason Young and Kyler Young. He also leaves behind a number of friends who will miss his intelligence and wit.

A private service will be held at a later date.
