Obituary

John Edward Holstein II, age 64, of Coal Fork, WV, passed away on March 5, 2023, in his home from health complications.

John was born in December 1958 in Charleston, WV. He attended St. Albans High School and graduated in 1976. He was actively involved with the Empty Glass, and tended there for many years, along with working for Ticketmaster and Rite Aide. He loved listening to music, stand-up comedy, spending time with his son and family, along with being an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Holstein; brother, Bill Holstein, and sisters, Pam (Holstein) Woods and Retsy (Holstein) Walker.

John is survived by his son, Xander Holstein; sister, Sheila (Holstein) Kelley, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Valley Grove Church of the Nazarene, 4082 Rutledge Road, Charleston.
