John and Jo, his wife of 45 years, made Loudendale their home. John’s life echoes in the valley of the old Mooney Farm. Another member gone as family slowly dwindles to time. Let it be known, he walked this place, left his initials in the old beech trees, and waded and fished the waters of Davis Creek. He watched the sunrises and sunsets from the Big Rocks on the hilltops. Met his love, raised his children and lived his dreams. His walk is over in this life. Rest in Peace, John.
P.S. Lord, if you’re looking for him, he’s fishing with his father and brother. If he gets a little grouchy, ignore him, we did.

We are so sorry to hear of Johns passing. He was always so sweet and kind to all of us. I will remember him fondly. I have pictures of him when he, Jennifer and Ranen came out here to California to visit us. From playing in the sand at Santa Cruz beach to panning for gold in Sonora. I still have the wind chimes he brought back from there for me and Jo. He was also an amazing Grandfather to our precious Grandson, Ranen.

John Mooney was a childhood friend. If you grew up in Loudendale you knew the Mooney Twins. John was an avid outdoor person that enjoyed his life and family. The community has lost another great friend. Prayers and love to the family.
