Obituary
Joseph “joe” e. Miller, 80 of richmond, va passed away, tuesday, january 16, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in charleston, wv to harry and margaret miller, with two older brothers, dick and tom, all preceding him in death.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 59 years, kathryn “kay”. Also left to cherish his memory are his son, ty; daughter, melody; and two grandchildren, joseph and chelsea godbolt.
Initially, joe joined the family trade as a glass cutter. He later opened the “mantiki”, a popular collegiate night club in charleston until he became an abc representative for schenley distillery co., which later transferred him to richmond, va.
Although he was known for being an avid outdoorsman with a great love of hunting, fishing, and golfing he could also be found shooting pool with friends. Joe’s legacy will continue forever, as “heroes are remembered, but legends never die.”
funeral service will be 1 p.M. Saturday, january 27, 2018 at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston, wv. Burial will follow at mountain view cemetery, charleston, wv. The family will receive friends and family two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
